The banning of incandescent lightbulbs

Just in the media was the news of Australia wanting to ban the incandescent lightbulbs. Saving 5% energy is the reason. Here are my reasons not to ban.

Reasons why not to ban

Reasons to ban

It all depends where you want to use the lights for. Sometimes incandescent lights are better and sometimes fluorescent are. While we at it anyway, let us also ban the candle, their efficiency is even worse.

My opinion on climate change

I get really frustrated on all the negative reports on global warming. Just predict the worst case scenario and you will be all over the news. If you want to know about the future, look into the past. The fact is that the real disaster happend millions of years ago, when all the carbon was put into the ground by plants and deceased animal life. The world at that time started to cool down because of a lack of greenhouse gases. What never gets told is that when all this was going on the world was warm and moist and completely covered in Amazon like tropical forests. There where no deserts and there was an abundantcy of plant and animal life. We are reversing the process. So is there anything that will prevent this from happening again and is this really such a bad scenario?

And how does the West think to save the world, by offsetting CO2 emissions in poor countries? Buying up huge pieces of land with unlimited corporate money to grow trees, which pushes up the land prices that poor farmers need to grow food for their income and families? Come on is that all we can think of to reduce emissions, what a big joke and absolute sickening!
